Our Staff
We enjoy the services of Community staff employed by the Primary Care Trust that we share with neighbouring practices, such as Community Nurses, a Health Visitor, a Midwife, Community Psychiatric Nurse and so forth.
We also employ staff ourselves, to work from the surgery. Here are a few things that they have said about themselves:
Stella Thake - Practice Manager
Stella is the Practice Manager - she has been with us for more than 10 years and is our organiser, chief of staff, book keeper, Health and Safety lead, and keeps the doctors in check - a huge task, but one which she is a master of. If anyone wants to know anything about the practice, it is Stella who has most of the answers.
Meg (Margaret) Gerelli SRN - Practice Nurse
Meg has been practice nurse in Fovant for more than 20 years - originally with Dr Morse's predecessor, Dr John Cannon. She has unequalled experience of all aspects of practice nursing and has had extra training in managing the care of Diabetics, those with chronic lung diseases such as asthma, Travel medicine and immunisations, Minor Surgery and much more. She is married to Dr Morse.
Anne Whitley SRN - Practice Nurse
Ann trained as a nurse in Portsmouth in the early 1960s, and has had wide experience as a Staff Nurse and Sister since, in the NHS and the Private sector. She originally worked for Dr Cannon in the 1970s and 1980s, returning to the practice in 1999 as receptionist and providing relief cover as the Practice Nurse.
Vanessa Coombes - Secretary
Vanessa joined the team in 2000 as secretary and receptionist. She has since extended her role with various courses on management and dispensing, and is a trained Phlebotomist.
